MoreySmith appointed to One New Change, Marketing Suite
Land Securities has appointed MoreySmith to design the Marketing Suite for One New Change EC4.
Designed by Ateliers Jean Nouvel, One New Change will be a landmark mixed-use development that will occupy a high profile site to the east of
St Paul ’s Cathedral.
Comprising 220,000 sq ft (20,440 sq m) of retail arranged over three levels, One New Change will be the City’s first purpose-built shopping centre. The development will also provide 340,000 sq ft (31,590 sq m) of premier office accommodation and will include an extensive rooftop public space with spectacular views across
St Paul ’s and the wider city.
Located at 130 Wood Street, opposite the site for One New Change, the Marketing Suite will be a base for the Land Securities’ leasing team. Contemporary and elegant the design will reflect the prestigious nature of the £500 million One New Change development. It will appeal to visitors interested in retail and corporate office space and will accommodate the different business styles and preferences of these visitor groups.
Comprising meeting rooms, informal meeting space and presentation areas, the Suite will provide a fitting environment in which information regarding One New Change can be presented. This will be facilitated by display, AV walls and architectural models, including a crystal model by Jean Nouvel. Floor plans, displayed on full height Perspex screens, will be colour coded - blue and green tones for the office space and bright neon for retail.
Further branding to differentiate the areas within the Suite most relevant to either the retail or office accommodation at One New Change will be subtly applied throughout by the furnishings and finishes specified. This will enable the design to cater for the two disciplines while successfully merging to create a unified space.
Linda Morey Smith, Principal Director, MoreySmith, comments:
‘We are delighted to have been selected by Land Securities to design the Marketing Suite of such an important and high profile development. Our designs will reflect the ethos of One New Change and the result will be a high quality, innovative environment.”
