Set over four floors and including a unique array of work environments and social spaces, the open plan design reflects the extensive, diverse working requirements for the 300 Coca-Cola employees.
The interior of the building is a celebration of Coca-Cola’s heritage and place in popular culture. The design unites the Edwardian Baroque-style front of the building, with a more modern rear extension. For Coca-Cola, the project was HR led, with the employees at the heart of the brief. The design is multi-faceted and functional; on one hand creating a collaborative and creative working environment for Coca-Cola’s workforce to feel happy and inspired and, on the other, celebrating Coca-Cola’s long heritage and their ability to diversify and evolve with the times. A new three story staircase connects all workplace floors promoting movement, connectivity and interaction. A custom-built, double-sided display wall compliments this stair link and provides a spectacular backdrop to display the brand’s long heritage, including iconic original Coca-Cola memorabilia from its archives in the US.
Our continued commitment to sustainability enabled this project to achieve a coveted SKA Gold Award, by providing a green habitat for wildlife in the heart of the West End in a BALI award winning roof garden design, use of ‘Baudersolar’ photovoltaic panels, extensive use of reclaimed materials with solid provenance, new LED lighting throughout. Plus bike racks and new changing and shower facility.
