Capital Radio, 1994
Charing Cross Road, London WC2

MoreySmith turned an unremarkable down-at-heel '50's building into a Charing Cross Road 'event' for Capital Radio, moving from its famous Euston Road 'rocking tower' after 22 years. The attraction of the design depends on the decision to emphasise the straightforward geometrical structure of the building, punching through concrete floor plates, and outside to use a rich vocabulary of dynamic coloured light.
